Carbonless Paper

How It Works

Carbonless paper is a refined alternative to traditional one-time or multi-use carbon sheets. It enables the seamless transfer of text or images from one sheet to another, activated by the pressure of a pen or dot matrix printer, without the mess of loose carbon.

The system comprises three specialised coated sheets:

CB (Coated Back)

The top sheet, coated on the reverse with microcapsules. It initiates the image transfer.

CFB (Coated Front and Back)

The middle sheet, coated on both sides-the back with microcapsules, the front with reactive material. It both receives and passes on the image.

CF (Coated Front)

The bottom sheet, coated on the front with a reactive, absorbent layer. It receives the final imprint.
